Project Snapshot
Shaping Requirements
for the Digital Euro
Shaping the product definition of the future Digital Euro application through a human-centred perspective.

Context
The European Central Bank launched the Digital Euro programme to establish a secure digital payment ecosystem across Europe. As part of the preparation phase, the ECB initiated the definition of the future Digital Euro application and prepared a public tender to select an implementation partner. This required a comprehensive Product Requirements Document (PRD) defining user, business and technical requirements to support vendor evaluation, implementation planning and future product development.

My Role
My role was to represent the user perspective throughout the product definition phase, translating conceptual payment journeys into a structured Product Requirements Document (PRD). Working closely with ECB stakeholders through weekly progress reviews and in daily collaboration with a Capgemini consultant, I continuously refined, validated and expanded the requirements to ensure a complete, implementation-ready specification.
Impact
Established the Product Requirements foundation that enabled the Digital Euro application to progress from early concepts to procurement.
